The events that hit place in Sophocles Oedipus Rex show an intrinsic relationship amid mans free leave behind living deep d aver the cosmic order, or fate. Although Oedipus does everything in his free will to make this prognostication fail, fate wins in the end. His past actions were immovable by fate, but the things that he did in Thebes were out of his own free will. This path that Oedipus, through his free willing try for fair play, came to his end in fulfilling the prophecy he was trying to avoid. Sophocles reveals this rightfulness in the main through Jocastas strong trustingness in the g everyplacenment agency of free will, Oedipus hubristic attempt at avoiding fate, and through the engross of salient irony.
In Oedipus Rex, Oedipus mother and wife, Jocasta, has a strong reason of faith in the ideology of free will.
